I am a graduate from the Hotel Management School Maastricht and have spent all of my professional life working for hotel companies. First with Holiday Inn, then Sonesta, Accor and lastly Hilton Hotels Corporation. From 1990 till 1996 we (my wife, 2 sons and myself) lived in Sydney from where I headed up Accor Australia, New Zealand and Japan. We then decided this was the place to settle down once I would leave corporate life. After a few more years for Accor based in Munich looking after Novotel Central Europe, and then 11 years in Singapore with Hilton heading up the Asia Pacific and Middle East division, the time to move back had come. Since December 2008 we are fortunate enough to live Down Under again.

I believe Dutchlink has a role to play within the Dutch community in New South Wales by means of building and maintaining bridges (social,cultural,business) to our Australian environment as well as providing a Dutch Link to our members by organizing events with a Dutch Touch. I am pleased to be given the opportunity to contribute to Dutchlink's future and look forward to meet our members in person at the many events we hope to organize.
