The event forecast if for a perfect celebration of cycling so we very much look forward to seeing you all bright and early at North Sydney for a festival start with Nova ready to prep all the riders. And we look forward to celebrating your ride at one of the festival finish sites at Pyrmont and Sydney Olympic Park where your friends and family are welcome to join the party. Remember, kids ride free, and Bicycle NSW members enjoy a super discount.
There are three rides to choose from: Join the 200 strong team of Dutch riders from the Orange Cohort on the 15 Km Sydney Rides to City from St Leonard’s Park at North Sydney across the Harbour Bridge, the Cahill Expressway, Macquarie Street, the Domain and Mrs Macquarie’s Chair then through the Rocks and out to the finish at Pirrama Park Pyrmont where you can enjoy the City Rides Festival. The Ride begins at 8.00am.
Those wishing to stretch the legs a little further can continue on through the inner west, around the Parramatta River cycle paths to Sydney Olympic Park at Homebush for the 55 km Polygon Classic Ride. This ride starts at 7.00am till 7.30am. There is an age restriction of 12 years and children under 16 must ride with a paying adult. The third ride is the 100km Challenge Ride. This takes the same route as the Classic from North Sydney to Homebush Bay before testing the rider’s endurance on a 4 km loop around a Sydney Olympic Park circuit. The classic ride is for riders 16 years and above and commences at 6.30AM.
Registration is available on the day at St Leonard’s Park. This should be undertaken 1 hour before the scheduled departure time of your chosen ride. The Spring Cycle is Sydney’s cyclists chance to own the city. It also raises funds to support advocacy throughout the year for Bicycle New South Wales.
